ENG: Transsexuality is the term commonly used for a person who has undergone hormonal and surgical treatment to acquire the physical appearance of people of the sex with which they identify. Gender is a cultural issue and there are many people who do not feel that their biological sex - and the gender established at birth - corresponds to the gender with which they perceive themselves. Sex reassignment involves going through hormone replacement therapy and even in some cases surgery. But ... can you be gay or lesbian or bisexual and be trans? Well of course! But ... do all trans people carry out genital surgery and hormonal treatment? muxhes (o muxes)

ENG:  Muxhe is a person who is born biologically masculine but feels a feminine identity, in an indigenous Zapotec culture in Mexico. It could be said that  it's similar to the trans person but in reality has its own characteristics, given by the own culture to which he/she belongs. There may be muxhes with masculine clothing and muxhes with feminine clothing, but their construction is always from the feminine.
